Into the Time Horizon (PRE-ORDER)

$70.00

Although there have been a range of international exhibitions exploring different aspects of environmentalism in the last couple years, Into the Time Horizon promises to be one of the most expansive in scope that a US institution has presented thus far. Including approximately 190 artists, the exhibition and publication aim to shed insight into the wide range of output, across all media, of artists of all genders who are integrating environmentalism into innovative artistic approaches.

The book will be organized around seven themes, including Altered Landscape and the Anthopocene, Interspecies Relationships, Listening to the Land, among others. It includes an introductory essay by exhibition curator Apsara DiQuinzio, contributions from Makeda Best, William L. Fox, and Maia Nuku, as well as two roundtable discussions— one focusing on sustainability efforts within the cultural sector and another with a small group of Indigenous artists and curators offering their perspectives on environmentalism. Another special section brings together a selection of top ten proposals, from a group of leading artists and intellects, for implementing a more sustainable, regenerative, and resilient future.

Into the Time Horizon is currently in pre-order and will ship Spring of 2026.
