[Cambridge] Exhibition Preview & Reception — Wendel A. White: Manifest | Thirteen Colonies

Manifest | Thirteen Colonies (May 18, 2024-April 13, 2024) is a photographic engagement with African American material culture housed in collections throughout the thirteen original U.S. colonies and Washington, D.C. Wendel A. White, the 2021 recipient of the Peabody Museum’s Robert Gardner Fellowship in Photography, explains that his photographs are “a response to the collective physical remnants of the American concept and representation of race.”

This exhibition preview will feature a conversation between the artist and William E. Williams, Audrey A. and John L. Dusseau Professor in the Humanities; Professor of Fine Arts, Haverford College.
